1. Domino: The Book of Decorating: The little tips and tricks contained in this book are quite impressive. It’s full of tips like: “If you have a small and narrow kitchen, painting the floors with diagonal patterns will give off the illusion of a bigger wider kitchen, etc etc.” I love working with what I have so this one was just wonderful.
2. Design*Sponge at Home: Pure eye candy, although I was able to find good tips here and there. Many of the featured homes seemed unattainable, but you can definitely see it as a way to either take or leave elements that works for you. Let’s face it though– if you don’t want to buy the book, it’s all there on the blog: designsponge.com
3. Furniture Makeovers: Great practical step-by-step instructions on how to give a dull piece of furniture a makeover. This transformation is mainly through paint or other techniques like applying wallpaper and découpage.
4. The Flower Recipe: Besides doing my own research on the Internet, this was the first flower arrangement book I’ve read and as a beginner, it felt like plenty amount of resources. I appreciated the concept and explanation of how of each plant and flower plays an important “recipe” in creating your perfect arrangement.
